Editorial
Editorial Policy
This page explains how Amzing Offers selects, researches, scores, and compares products. It also sets out what we do and do not claim, so readers can trust our recommendations.
How we select products
We select products based on relevance to UK buyers — what is available to purchase in the UK, what shoppers are searching for, and what fits each guide's purpose (best overall, best value, best for a specific use case, or a price tier). We do not select products because a brand or retailer has paid us to include them.
We prioritise products from established brands sold through reputable UK retailers, particularly Amazon UK, where most of our readers check prices and availability.
How we compare products
When comparing products, we weigh: specifications and features, price and value for money, build quality and brand reputation, verified customer ratings and feedback, UK availability, warranty and support, and editorial judgement about how well the product suits its intended role.
Our Amzing Score (out of 10) combines these factors. Affiliate commission does not influence the score or where a product appears in a ranking. Read more about how we score.
Information sources
We are transparent about where our information comes from. Our reviews and guides draw on the following sources:
Editorial research
We research products using specifications, published review coverage, and editorial judgement to understand each product's strengths and trade-offs.
Manufacturer information
We use official product specifications, manuals, and brand-published details to verify claims and compare features.
Amazon product data
We reference Amazon UK listings for pricing context, availability, and verified customer feedback patterns.
Hands-on testing
Where we have personally tested a product, we say so explicitly and describe what we found. We never claim testing we have not done.
User feedback
We consider verified customer reviews and feedback trends to understand long-term satisfaction and common issues.
Testing transparency
Unless we explicitly state that we have personally tested a product, our assessments are based on the information sources listed above — not hands-on testing. We do not present editorial research or manufacturer claims as personal testing experience.
If a product has been hands-on tested by our team, the review will say so directly, and we will describe what we observed.
What we do not claim
- We do not claim expertise, professional qualifications, or certifications we do not hold.
- We do not claim awards, accreditations, or endorsements that do not exist.
- We do not claim to operate a testing laboratory or testing facility.
- We do not claim partnerships or relationships with brands or manufacturers unless they genuinely exist and are disclosed.
- We do not present retailer or manufacturer marketing claims as independent findings.
Update frequency and corrections
We update guides when products change, are replaced, or better options become available. Each guide displays the author, reviewer (where applicable), published date, and last updated date so readers can see how current the information is.
If you spot an error or something that needs checking, please contact us. We prioritise factual corrections and update affected content promptly.
Affiliate relationship
Amzing Offers is a participant in the Amazon Associates programme. When readers click an affiliate link and make a purchase, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to the reader. This does not influence our rankings or scores. Read our full Affiliate Disclosure.
